Another first for the label, CVU014 is the debut release from Sydney/Eora-based artist Toiling, whose homecoming from life in Berlin could not be captured as accurately as it has with this EP. Having founded the NCOUNTERS Berlin platform during his time there, as well as done the do of normal everyday life, this stage of Toiling's life was productive and fruitful.

Written in 2020 in Normandie, France, while on holiday from the grind of life in Germany's capital, but revised over the pandemic, Regrow reflects Toiling's challenges and influences. You can hear the stained-brick footpaths, derelict party spaces and grey skies perfectly, contrasted by a sense of wonderment, ecstasy, and good times. With an alternative mix of Regrow by Jonny Reebok and a remix of Smell It by myspacejuan, this is a quite a tight little package.

These tracks contrast with Toiling's live sets, which tend to be on the harder side of techno/harddance.
